Students learned about the 1918 People Act that granted the vote to some women for the first time. They also learned about the women’s suffrage movement, and the 50-year campaign to accomplish votes for women. Eighth grader Apollina Barattieri said, “I really enjoyed learning about how women got the right to vote. It was inspiring to watch the women prove that they are just as capable as anyone else.”.

Seventh grader Berto Wadsworth said, “ I enjoyed the project because there was a lot of freedom in our thinking. We got to come up with everything we did and there were no teachers involved.”

The Grade 8 Senate is comprised of one representative from each advisory.     1 month ago by TheScrollASL Grade 5 students explore and build in their Minecraft world during their Day 1 Lunch Club on January 9. After experiencing some thefts of materials during the game, the group was reminded that they needed to live the school’s Core Values even while in this virtual world. To help deal with the lag that is caused by having almost 30 players on the server at once, the group will split into two different servers the next time they meet.
  • When students returned from the winter break on January 7
    1 month ago by TheScrollASL When students returned from the winter break on January 7, they were finally able to use the new Waverley Place entrance. The entrance has two gates that are open in the morning and at the end of the school. During the day, only the right gate is open for security reasons. Under the covered part of the entrance, there are seats and plugs so that people who have to wait are able to sit and charge their devices. On the left side of the entrance there is an elevator for people who are unable to take the stairs. The new
