New middle school teacher, first impressions: Mr. Gow

Where are you coming from?
The last school that Mr. Anthony Gow taught at was called Halcyon International School, which is a small international school in Marble Arch, London, which offers the International Baccalaureate program. There, he taught art and design.

What subject do you teach/ what position do you hold?
At ASL, Mr. Gow teaches both MS and HS art.

What were/ have been your first impressions of ASL?
Mr. Gow’s first impression of ASL is that ASL is a “vibrant learning community.” His colleagues and students welcomed him with open arms, and it was evident to him that the students at ASL love to learn and “really want to get the most out of their education.”

What is your favorite part of ASL?
Mr. Gow’s favorite part about ASL is teaching and imparting his knowledge of a subject he loves to his students.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Even in his free time, Mr. Gow continues to grow his passion for art. He also enjoys listening to music and taking nature walks.

What is an interesting fact about you?
Mr. Gow was a surf lifesaver on Australian beaches.
