New middle school teacher, first impressions: Ms. Brower

Where are you coming from?
Ms. Leilani Brower is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia and lived there for her whole life up until her move to London last year.

What subject do you teach/ what position do you hold?
Ms. Brower teaches seventh and eighth-grade health and eighth-grade psychology.

What were/ have been your first impressions of ASL?
Ms. Brower’s first impression of ASL was that the community was very welcoming, while at the same time, “serious about getting a good education.”

What is your favorite part of ASL?
Ms. Brower’s favorite part about ASL is the “close-knit community” both within the confines of the school as well as outside. She also feels that ASL serves as a second home, especially for those who are away from family and friends in different parts of the world.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Ms. Brower enjoys travelling, hanging out with her cats, being in touch with nature, and exercising. 

What is an interesting fact about you?
An interesting fact about Ms. Brower is that she took part in a Macy’s Day parade.
