Student Showdown: Should the Women’s March in London have happened? NO

Imagine this. In June 2016, people marched in the United States. They marched against people being allowed to immigrate freely to another country, and against non-elected officials being allowed to change policies in another country. They marched against Brexit.

Why are British citizens marching against President Donald Trump? How will Mr. Trump being president affect them? America does have a foreign policy, but the US are allies with the UK. President Trump wouldn’t just break off all trade with Britain, and he wouldn’t just start an all out war with another nuclear power.

The British people were marching against Trump. They may say that they’re marching against what he said about women, but they’re marching against him because he’s president of the US. They’re not going to change what he does. He isn’t going to step down because of these marches.

Mr. Trump being president just signifies how wrong our world really is. Now, people can see that there are a lot of people in America who agree with him, and who do think that what he did was okay. This needs to be changed. Just take this as an opportunity to learn.

I do not think that Mr. Trump should have been elected as president, but we cannot deny that he was. The people of America voted, and they elected him. We live in a democratic society, and this happens. The only thing left to do is wait four years, and vote for somebody else, which is what I am going to do.
